Advertising disclosure
Nothing commercial is live today. When it is, this page will say exactly what a provider paid for and where it appears. The short version: placements can be bought, judgements cannot.
What can be bought
- A labelled sponsored strip above a country page or listicle, outside the editorial list.
- A Verified badge, which records that the provider confirmed its own data and when.
- Routed quote requests, where the buyer selected that provider themselves.
What cannot be bought
- A score, on any criterion, in any country.
- A position in an editorial ranking, listicle order or comparison table.
- The wording of a verdict, a con, or a risk note.
- Removal of a profile, a correction, or an unflattering fact.
How labelling works
Paid placements carry the word Sponsored in a persistent label, sit in a visually separated container, and never interleave with editorial results. In the data model, the sponsored flag controls the badge and the strip and nothing else. It has no input into any score or sort order.
Affiliate links
We do not currently use affiliate links. If that changes, links that earn us money will be marked on the page where they appear, and this section will be dated.
