  • Price 599 USD per employee per month

Deel says it owns entities in more than 130 countries, which puts it among the largest owned networks of any EOR provider. Its published EOR fee of USD 599 per employee per month is in line with the other large platforms, and contracts run month to month. It suits companies hiring both contractors and employees across several countries. Before signing, get the deposit amount and FX markup in writing, confirm that no offboarding fee applies, and check which of your countries run through a partner rather than a Deel entity.

  • Price 699 USD per employee per month

Remote employs your staff through entities it owns in every country where it offers EOR, and its terms leave indemnities for EOR services uncapped, so it ranks well on compliance. The cost is a list fee of USD 699 per employee per month, and the margin in its monthly FX rate is not published. Standard terms can be cancelled on 30 days' notice, but an order form with a minimum contract value commits you for its full term and renews at a higher price. Shortlist it if owned entities in every country matter most to you, and get the FX margin and any order form terms in writing before you sign.

Employment contracts

A written employment contract is required in the Czech Republic, and the EOR signs it as the legal employer. Your company signs a separate temporary assignment agreement.

The contract must state the type of work, place of work and start date, with salary in CZK, working time, leave and notice confirmed in writing within seven days of the start. Czech law treats the EOR model as agency employment, so the provider needs an employment agency permit to act as your employer.

Bilingual Czech and English contracts are standard for commercial roles.

Fixed-term contracts are permitted and most EORs default to indefinite terms, but an assignment to the same client is capped at 12 consecutive months unless the employee asks for longer.

Probation

Probation in the Czech Republic can run for up to 4 months, or 8 months for managers. Either side can end employment during probation without a reason, but it must be agreed in writing before work starts.

Set probation from day one. An extension needs the employee's written agreement, signed before the original period ends, and cannot go past the statutory maximum.

Full days of sickness or holiday during probation push the end date back automatically. Ask the EOR how it tracks that before you rely on a probation exit.

Working time and overtime

The standard week is 40 hours. Overtime earns a premium of at least 25% and is capped at 150 hours a year unless the employee agrees to more.

The premium is calculated on average earnings, or replaced with time off by agreement. With consent, overtime can go beyond 150 hours as long as it averages no more than 8 hours a week.

Salaries can be agreed as inclusive of overtime, up to 150 hours a year for most staff and all permitted overtime for managers. Put the position in writing either way.

Leave and public holidays

Employees get at least 4 weeks of paid annual leave, plus 13 public holidays. Sick, maternity and parental leave sit on top.

Market practice for professional roles is 5 weeks, a week above the statutory floor, so quote the market figure when you budget.

The employer pays the first 14 days of sickness at 60% of reduced average earnings, after which the state sickness scheme takes over. Maternity, paternity and parental benefits are state funded, so confirm the EOR is not billing them to you.

Termination and severance

Termination difficulty here is 3 out of 5. Notice is usually two months and runs from the day it is delivered, and redundancy carries one to three months' severance.

An employer can only give notice on grounds listed in the Labour Code, such as redundancy, health, poor performance after a written warning or breach of duties. There is no unilateral pay in lieu of notice, so most exits are settled by a written termination agreement.

The EOR runs the process as the legal employer and will want the paperwork in order, including final pay, unused leave and any severance. Employees have two months to challenge a dismissal in court, so keep a documented reason.

Statutory benefits

Social security and public health insurance are the dominant statutory costs and apply to every employee, foreign nationals included. There is no separate levy for foreign hires.

Meal vouchers or a tax-free meal allowance, a fifth week of holiday, paid sick days and employer pension contributions are standard for professional roles even though they are not mandatory. Statutory accident liability insurance is compulsory and should already sit with the EOR.

EORs often bundle benefits through a group scheme. Ask what is included in the fee and what is billed on top.

Payroll and tax

Payroll runs monthly in CZK. Income tax is withheld at source as a monthly advance, at 15% up to CZK 1,762,812 a year and 23% above it.

Employer contributions add 33.8% on top of gross salary, with social security capped at CZK 2,350,416 a year and health insurance uncapped. That is before the EOR fee.

Registration is the trap. Since July 2026 every new hire must be registered for social insurance before their first day, with fines of up to CZK 100,000 for missing it, so build that into the onboarding timeline.

Work permits

EU, EEA and Swiss nationals need no permit. Other foreign hires need an employee card or EU Blue Card, and processing takes 60 to 90 days.

Ask whether the EOR sponsors directly or refers to a partner. Applications through an employment agency need extra documents about your company as the user, and the Blue Card needs a salary of at least CZK 73,823 a month.

Set start dates after approval, not before. The Labour Office must also be notified before a foreign national starts work.

Data protection

Employee data is processed under the GDPR and the Czech Personal Data Processing Act, with the EOR acting as controller for employment records and processor for your instructions.

Get the data processing terms in the service agreement, not just the privacy notice. Transfers outside the EEA need an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Ask where payroll data is hosted and who in the partner chain can see it.

When to open your own entity

The usual trigger in the Czech Republic is 5 to 15 employees, or a permanent commercial presence. Below that, an EOR is normally cheaper and faster.

Incorporation here is straightforward and a limited company needs only CZK 1 of share capital, but the running cost is the point: accounting, monthly employer reporting, separate health insurer filings and audit thresholds set an annual floor.

Permanent establishment risk is about what people do, not where payroll sits. Revenue-generating activity can create exposure regardless of the employment route.

G-P is one of the most compliance-focused EORs available, with over 100 of its own legal entities and a long record in heavily regulated countries. Its list price starts at USD 599 per employee per month, but independent reviewers report higher quotes, a one-off setup fee per hire, a deposit, an FX markup and an offboarding charge. Shortlist it if you’re a larger business that puts compliance ahead of cost, and get the full fee schedule in writing before you sign.

Oyster suits companies that want HR experts, legal support and termination handling included in one EOR fee, along with integrations for the most common HRIS and ATS platforms. The trade-offs are a USD 699 monthly list price, a refundable deposit of about one month's employment cost per hire, and EOR coverage of 120+ countries rather than the 180+ headline. There are no onboarding or offboarding fees, and monthly billing carries no minimum term.

Questions buyers ask about Czech Republic

How much does it cost to employ someone in the Czech Republic through an EOR?
Budget the gross salary, plus 33.8% in employer social security and health insurance, plus the EOR fee. Published EOR fees sit in the 199 to 699 USD per employee per month band, or a percentage of payroll.
How long does it take to onboard an employee in the Czech Republic?
Typically 2 to 7 working days once the candidate has accepted and right to work is confirmed. Employee card and Blue Card cases take considerably longer.
Can an EOR terminate an employee in the Czech Republic?
Yes. Notice is usually two months and termination difficulty here is 3 out of 5, but the EOR can only dismiss on statutory grounds, so most exits end in a written termination agreement.
Does the EOR need its own entity in the Czech Republic?
Someone in the chain must hold a Czech employment agency permit, and using an unlicensed provider can count as illegal work, with fines of up to CZK 10 million. Ask whether the provider holds the permit or uses a partner, in writing.
